How is Highland City for outdoor activities?

So, People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The pet-friendliness is surprisingly good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..

Bought a house here in 2020 and it was the best decision I ever made. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Old Town. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in retail. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Hope this helps!.
