So, I work in consulting and It's a a small town city with about 14,981 people. Average temperature is around 55--F, so expect cold winters. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. Am I overthinking this? The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.
