Hello, I'm a college student here and Crime rate is something to consider -Highland Park sits at 101.5 per 100K. Poverty rate is 5.2%, which is pretty low. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Should I be concerned? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.
