Highland Village is underrated, change my mind

Hello, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Rent is about $2,434/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $493,400 on average. You can expect to pay around $2,434 for rent here. Crime rate is something to consider -Highland Village sits at 47.8 per 100K. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Pros:
- Nice parks and trails
- Growing food scene
- Diverse community

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Limited cultural events
- Homelessness issues downtown
Worth the trade-offs? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is community vibe. it exceeded my expectations. Worth doing your research before committing.

I'm a teacher and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. The community is surprisingly good and there's always something going on.
