Anyone else feel this way? Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. It's a a small town city with about 5,869 people. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I've lived in Riverside for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The nightlife scene is improving
The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Homeless population growing downtown
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for singles. No regrets on my end..

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. traffic used to be much established but now it's challenging.

We moved here with our family and it's been a really good experience overall. Schools in Midtown area are improving. Kids love it here.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Internet is improving in most areas.
