Quick question about Hillcrest

Hey folks, Median household income is $142,260, which feels pretty solid for the area. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Has anyone dealt with this? The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it exceeded my expectations. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Midtown. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Definitely worth checking out..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want community vibe, then yeah this place is great. But if outdoor recreation matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
