Anyone else love living in Hilldale?

Hey, Just moved here 7 months ago and Crime rate is something to consider -Hilldale sits at 459.3 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 1,131 people. Homes are going for about $215,600 on average. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I genuinely enjoy living here. Internet is decent in most areas.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 8 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are affordable, gas is pretty good.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
