Hey, My partner and I are Homes are going for about $483,400 on average. It's a a mid-size city city with about 107K people. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. Should I be concerned? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a contractor who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 2 years ago. The main reasons were weather and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Four distinct seasons
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are reasonable, gas is decent.
Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from San Diego about 12 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Close to major attractions
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are competitive, gas is excellent.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
