Longtime lurker here, Military spouse here. Crime rate is something to consider -Hillsborough sits at 50.4 per 100K. Rent is about $1,898/month for a decent place. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Am I overthinking this? It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
