Rent vs buy in Hillsdale -what makes sense?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a teacher here and Poverty rate is 2.9%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $169,862 in Hillsdale. The median home value here is around $656,800, which is pretty steep. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Pros:
- Growing food scene
- Close to nature
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Sprawl everywhere
- Lack of diversity
- Few job opportunities in some fields
