Hot take but it's exactly what I was looking for. I know a lot of people disagree but after 12 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I've been living here for 7 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The job market is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..

Came here for school and stayed because it's not perfect but it works for me. The job market is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want walkability, then yeah this place is great. But if housing market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Used to live on the Pine Hills side, now on the The Heights side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.

Public transit is average here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

As someone who grew up here, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. A lot has changed in the past few years though. outdoor recreation used to be much established but now it's better than expected.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.
I've been here 15 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is improving.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Happy to answer more specific questions..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is job market. it was the best decision I ever made. Worth doing your research before committing.
