Anyone else love living in Hobart?

I work in marketing and Crime rate is something to consider -Hobart sits at 139.9 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,174 for rent here. It's a a smaller city city with about 29,646 people. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What do you all think? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 9 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.
