Hobart is underrated, change my mind
Hello, I grew up here but left for a while. The unemployment rate is 2.1%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. Poverty rate is 4.6%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $149,635 in Hobart. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Should I be concerned? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.
