Is Hobart walkable?

I'm single, late 40s, and Household incomes average around $111,918 in Hobart. With a population of 10,418, Hobart is a small town. The unemployment rate is 0.3%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Hobart sits at 495.3 per 100K. The median home value here is around $363,500, which seems about average. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. What do you all think? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. The city has invested a lot in new development. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good healthcare facilities
- The school system scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for remote workers. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
