Most overrated things about Hoffman Estates

First post here. With a population of 51,186, Hoffman Estates is a smaller city. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Is this normal for Hoffman Estates?

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 14 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is surprisingly good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
