Anyone else feel this way? I'm a college student here and Poverty rate is 15.4%, which is higher than I expected. Household incomes average around $61,979 in Holbrook. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
