I'm a teacher here and With a population of 26,256, Holbrook is a smaller city. Poverty rate is 3.0%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $139,116, which feels pretty solid for the area. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Phoenix it's average.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Uptown. It's tough for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in engineering. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.
People: Generally pretty good. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like BBQ.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because I have mixed feelings honestly. The community vibe is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Used to live on the Sunset side, now on the Lakewood side. Completely different vibe. I love the pace of life here.
