Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Nashville about 1 years ago. The main reasons were family and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Active local events and festivals
- Good airport with direct flights
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are established, gas is better than expected.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Happy to answer more specific questions..

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The healthcare is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

I work in legal here and the quality of life is solid. The job market for my field is average. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Greenfield. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in real estate. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Asian.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want pet-friendliness, then yeah this place is great. But if public transit matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
