Is Holladay getting better or worse?

Military spouse here. Crime rate is something to consider -Holladay sits at 122.0 per 100K. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Thoughts? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The traffic is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've lived in Oak Park for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Lots of new development happening
- The community vibe scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for couples. Hope this helps!.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The public transit is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Nashville about 14 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Affordable housing options
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are reasonable, gas is challenging.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Hope this helps!.
