Unpopular opinion about Hollister

OK so I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Median household income is $101,979, which feels pretty solid for the area. The unemployment rate is 4.3%, which is about average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Any advice would be great. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to Salt Lake City it's decent.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in North. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in construction. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Definitely worth checking out..
