Is Holly Hill walkable?

Hello, Military spouse here. Homes are going for about $168,600 on average. It's a a small town city with about 13,002 people. The median home value here is around $168,600, which is actually reasonable. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Any help is appreciated. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

I've lived in Westside for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Close to major attractions
- The healthcare scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for young professionals. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 9 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Highland side vs the Oak Park side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
