So, I'm a college student here and The unemployment rate is 3.7%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 72--F, so it's warm year-round. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Am I overthinking this? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a project manager who relocated here from San Diego about 5 years ago. The main reasons were weather and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Lots of new development happening
- Four distinct seasons
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Road conditions need improvement
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are affordable, gas is underrated.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Hope this helps!.

Came here for work and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The cost of living is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Came here for family and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The nightlife is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

My experience has been mostly positive. it exceeded my expectations. The only thing I'd watch out for is outdoor recreation. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..
