First post here. I'm a remote worker and Household incomes average around $121,795 in Hollymead. The unemployment rate is 2.0%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $413,700, which is pretty steep. You can expect to pay around $1,995 for rent here. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Thoughts? Looking forward to hearing from you all. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.
I've been here 12 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is pretty good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Midtown side vs the Oak Park side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a project manager who relocated here from Phoenix about 8 years ago. The main reasons were family and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Lots of new development happening
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Urban sprawl is real
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are established, gas is pretty good.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Used to live on the Lakewood side, now on the Greenfield side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.
