Hollywood is underrated, change my mind

Hey, I'm retired and Household incomes average around $65,359 in Hollywood. Homes are going for about $374,200 on average. Median household income is $65,359, which feels about average for the area. Rent is about $1,555/month for a decent place. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Low taxes
- Plenty of shopping options

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Hot summers
- Sprawl everywhere
- Boring for young people
- Chain restaurants dominate
Does this match your experience? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. We moved here with our family and I have mixed feelings honestly. Schools in Eastside area are solid. Kids love it here.
