Holton quality of life -am I missing something?

I'm single, late 30s, and Household incomes average around $51,390 in Holton. Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. It's a a small town city with about 3,384 people. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. What would you do? Looking forward to hearing from you all. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value community vibe, you'll love it. The nightlife is genuinely average and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (West) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Francisco, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
