Been meaning to ask this. Military spouse here. Poverty rate is 15.5%, which is higher than I expected. Crime rate is something to consider -Homestead sits at 953.2 per 100K. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.
