Worst things about living in Homestead
Look, I love Homestead, but let's be real about the downsides:
Public transit needs work
Job market is niche
Crime in certain neighborhoods is a real concern
Don't get me wrong, it's still a great place overall. But people should know what they're getting into.

Rent tip: look for places in winter. Prices drop and there's more availability.

I've lived in Southside for 4 years and it's still one of the best decisions I made.

I've lived in Downtown for 8 years and it's a hidden gem honestly.

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. Old Town and Eastside are perfectly safe.

The job market has been improving lately. Several tech companies moved in recently.

Check out the Riverside area. Way more affordable and still close to everything.

Don't sleep on Old Town. It's up and coming and still affordable.

Respectfully disagree about the job market. In my experience, it's been pretty safe in my area.
