Is Homewood walkable?

Alright, I'm a 46-year-old data analyst and With a population of 27,697, Homewood is a smaller city. The unemployment rate is 1.4%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $108,386, which feels pretty solid for the area. Poverty rate is 3.7%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want weather, then yeah this place is great. But if job market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is housing market. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The outdoor recreation is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (Meadowbrook) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Raleigh, be prepared for the culture shock. community vibe is completely different here. And Can feel isolated.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
