What's it really like living in Homewood?

Hey folks, I work in energy and Average temperature is around 64--F, so the weather is moderate. Poverty rate is 3.7%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,457/month for a decent place. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Diverse community
- Lots of new development
- Active local events

Cons:
- Rising rent prices
- Far from major airports
- Limited cultural events
- Homelessness issues downtown
Am I overthinking this? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say the quality of life is solid. The dating scene is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.
