Day-to-day life in Hooks, TX

Anyone else feel this way? Crime rate is something to consider -Hooks sits at 72.9 per 100K. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Am I wrong here? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want safety, then yeah this place is great. But if weather matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
