Moving from Seattle to Hoopers Creek next month

Random thought, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Median household income is $64,792, which feels about average for the area. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Thoughts? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

I've lived in Highland for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Diverse dining options
- The traffic scene is decent

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Winters are long and cold

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for retirees. Definitely worth checking out..

Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. the quality of life is solid.

I work in construction here and it's not perfect but it works for me. The job market for my field is excellent. No regrets on my end..
