Hoosick Falls in the winter -how bad?

Hi all, Born and raised here. Crime rate is something to consider -Hoosick Falls sits at 134.8 per 100K. The suburbs are where most families end up. What do you all think? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The school system scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for families. Definitely worth checking out..
