What surprised you most about Hoover?

I'm originally from Portland and Crime rate is something to consider -Hoover sits at 133.1 per 100K. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Came here for retirement and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The dating scene is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
