OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Highland. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in real estate. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want safety, then yeah this place is great. But if cost of living matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it exceeded my expectations. Compared to Denver it's improving.

Hot take but I have mixed feelings honestly. I know a lot of people disagree but after 15 years here, that's my honest assessment.
