Curious what people think. Born and raised here. Homes are going for about $176,300 on average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Thanks in advance! Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

I've been living here for 5 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The traffic is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I've lived in Uptown for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
- The outdoor recreation scene is challenging
The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
