OK so Been living here since 2017. The median home value here is around $165,100, which is actually reasonable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a electrician who relocated here from Charlotte about 14 years ago. The main reasons were family and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Lots of new development happening
- Four distinct seasons
Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are manageable, gas is tough.
Socially, the quality of life is solid. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Public transit is underrated here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I love the pace of life here.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Denver about 12 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and a fresh start.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Four distinct seasons
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Urban sprawl is real
Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are stable, gas is average.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've lived in Midtown for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Close to major attractions
- The outdoor recreation scene is decent
The downsides:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for couples. Happy to answer more specific questions..

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:

- Four distinct seasons
- The outdoor recreation scene is surprisingly good
The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Limited shopping options
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
