I'm a nurse at the local hospital and The unemployment rate is 5.6%, which is about average. With a population of 22,944, Hopewell is a small town. Average temperature is around 61--F, so the weather is moderate. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.
