With a population of 31,011, Hopkinsville is a smaller city. It's a a smaller city city with about 31,011 people. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Bought a house here in 2018 and I love the pace of life here. Property values have gone about the same since then.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Nashville and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Lakewood. It's improving for what you get.
Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in marketing. If you're in engineering you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like sushi.
Feel free to reach out with questions..

Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I have mixed feelings honestly.
