So, We have two kids and Average temperature is around 58--F, so the weather is moderate. Crime rate is something to consider -Hopkinsville sits at 291.3 per 100K. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a teacher who relocated here from Tampa about 3 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries
- Lots of new development happening
Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Can feel isolated
Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are wild, gas is better than expected.
Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Definitely worth checking out..

I've lived in Oak Park for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The school system scene is surprisingly good
The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited entertainment options
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
