Why I chose Horizon City over bigger cities

Hi all, I'm single, late 20s, and It's a a small town city with about 23,069 people. Homes are going for about $154,200 on average. Household incomes average around $65,702 in Horizon City. Average temperature is around 66--F, so the weather is moderate. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Let me know your thoughts. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 6 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.
