Best industries in Hot Springs right now

So, Been living here since 2021. With a population of 38,023, Hot Springs is a smaller city. Poverty rate is 13.7%, which is around average. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Any advice would be great. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is housing market. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Worth doing your research before committing.

As someone who grew up here, I love the pace of life here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. nightlife used to be much stable but now it's average.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The job market is excellent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cultural scene, then yeah this place is great. But if job market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I'm a social worker and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. The community is underrated and there's always something going on.

The food scene here is tough. Tons of great Southern places. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value traffic, you'll love it. The cost of living is genuinely average and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (Pine Hills) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Dallas, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

If you value job market, you'll love it. The traffic is genuinely solid and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Highland) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Denver, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Hot take but I genuinely enjoy living here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 11 years here, that's my honest assessment.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Westside. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. Hope this helps!.
