The good and bad of living in Houston

Hi all, With a population of 2,407, Houston is a small town. Poverty rate is 20.6%, which is higher than I expected. The median home value here is around $115,200, which is actually reasonable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Am I overthinking this? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.
