Hello, I relocated for work and Average temperature is around 65--F, so the weather is moderate. What neighborhoods would you suggest?

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value school system, you'll love it. The pet-friendliness is genuinely average and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (Downtown) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Dallas, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in North. It's tough for what you get.
Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in legal. If you're in tech you might struggle.
People: Generally underrated. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Korean.
No regrets on my end..

We moved here with our family and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Schools in Lakewood area are solid. Kids love it here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 9 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a fresh start.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are growing, gas is underrated.
Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I work in hospitality here and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The job market for my field is improving. No regrets on my end..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want housing market, then yeah this place is great. But if cost of living matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in West. It's better than expected for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in real estate you might struggle.
People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been living here for 14 years and I'd say I love the pace of life here. The nightlife is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I'm a sales manager and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The community is hit or miss and there's always something going on.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are improving, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
