Anyone else feel this way? You can expect to pay around $1,896 for rent here. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Any advice would be great. Thanks for reading.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Meadowbrook for 4 years. Moved from Atlanta for my partner's job. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is better than expected. We bought in 2022 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.
**Employment:**
government is strong here. hospitality is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are wild for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
I'm still on the fence after all this time. The outdoor scene is better than expected - we have state parks within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Meadowbrook schools are hit or miss. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Summers can be brutally hot. Can feel isolated. And pet-friendliness can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For couples, I'd say this is a 5/10. No regrets on my end.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is community vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly. Worth doing your research before committing.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Tampa about 5 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a fresh start.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good internet infrastructure
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Chain restaurants dominate
Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are stable, gas is decent.
Socially, I love the pace of life here. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it exceeded my expectations. Internet is decent in most areas.

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good healthcare facilities
- The healthcare scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Property taxes are high
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want dating scene, then yeah this place is great. But if school system matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
