Not sure if this has been asked before, but Crime rate is something to consider -Hugo sits at 170.8 per 100K. Average temperature is around 44--F, so bundle up in winter. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Is this normal for Hugo? The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
