Is Hunters Creek walkable?

Household incomes average around $99,942 in Hunters Creek. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Let me know your thoughts. Cheers. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a physical therapist, 53, moved here 5 years ago from Tampa. I've lived in Pine Hills and Sunset, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Cost of living is very reasonable
2. Great outdoor activities nearby
3. Strong job market in several industries
4. The people are generally average - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Nightlife is limited
2. Not very walkable outside downtown
3. The public transit situation is affordable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Pine Hills: Great for retirees. pretty good vibes, walkable.
- Sunset: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Tampa, everything felt pretty good. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are stable. Gas is affordable. You can live comfortably on $90K-$120K here.

**Final verdict:**
It's not for everyone but it works for us.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Bought a house here in 2019 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone up a bit since then.
