Considering Huntington vs Austin -help me decide

OK so You can expect to pay around $2,347 for rent here. Rent is about $2,347/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 2.4%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $162,066, which feels pretty solid for the area. The unemployment rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is community vibe. the quality of life is solid. Worth doing your research before committing.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Chicago about 2 years ago. The main reasons were school and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Four distinct seasons
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are manageable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Definitely worth checking out..
