Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a data analyst who relocated here from New York about 12 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Close to major attractions
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Can feel isolated
Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are affordable, gas is average.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. No regrets on my end..

As someone who grew up here, the quality of life is solid. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cost of living used to be much wild but now it's excellent.
