Huntington Station housing prices -when will it stop?

Anyone else feel this way? It's a a smaller city city with about 33,283 people. You can expect to pay around $1,867 for rent here. The unemployment rate is 3.4%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. Household incomes average around $129,121 in Huntington Station. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Pros:
- Nice parks and trails
- Good schools
- Low taxes
- Strong sense of community

Cons:
- Limited nightlife
- Sprawl everywhere
- Limited dining options
- Homelessness issues downtown
- Not enough green space
There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The cost of living scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for families. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good airport with direct flights
- The traffic scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for remote workers. Happy to answer more specific questions..
