Life in Huntington Station as a young professional

Hey folks, I grew up here but left for a while. The median home value here is around $540,400, which is pretty steep. The unemployment rate is 3.4%, which is pretty low. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Growing food scene
- Good schools
- Strong sense of community
- Active local events

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- High property taxes
- Boring for young people
- Limited cultural events
The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development.
